Foxborough Public Schools Professional Development Team is hosting the D-W January 21, 2022 PD day Getting What You Need to Succeed with MTSS.. All morning topics are on the schedule that was sent through your school e-mail. Please make your selections for afternoon choice sessions,
The day begins at 8:30 AM and sessions end at 2:30 PM with a one-hour break for lunch.
Please choose which session you will attend to fill your fill time slots (12:00 - 2:30 PM).

Dr. Alison J. Mello (@alisonmellomath) has been in education for over 25 years, working in New York and Massachusetts as a classroom teacher, math specialist, director of math curriculum, and currently as Assistant Superintendent of Foxborough Public Schools, MA. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, and her research focuses on classroom learning environment and its relationship to mathematical disposition. In addition to her work in the district, Alison is a co-author of Fluency Doesn’t Just Happen with Addition and Subtraction, Working with the Beaded Number Line, and the creator of the Integer Beaded Number line. She has spent the last decade as a national speaker, math consultant, and graduate instructor of in-service teachers. Alison enjoys working to develop practical strategies to address issues that teachers face in their classrooms every day. She uses her understanding of curriculum and best practices to assist teachers in using the resources at their disposal to deliver the standards in ways that are meaningful, engaging, and truly empower students to be independent and successful. For several years, Alison served on the board of ATMIM (her NCTM affiliate), and currently serves on the board of MassMATE. Aside from engaging with students, which will always be the best part of working in education, Alison absolutely loves working with teachers and supporting their journey toward Universally Designed Learning that results in more equitable, engaging, and exciting math instruction.
